Program Description:
This field and laboratory based teaching focused program provides students with an in-depth understanding of: (a) how the natural landscape is formed and (b) the impacts of humans on that landscape through time. The program is designed to be holistic in nature, affording students insights into the landscape: from the bedrock geology that literally forms the foundations for the topography to the glacial and post-glacial geomorphology, ecology, archaeology and traditional and contemporary economy (and indeed mindsets) of the Midlands. The program is designed to provide foundational knowledge to students from diverse disciplines including geography, environmental science, geology, archaeology, anthropology and ecology.
